Film Screening of August to June

There’s a better way to educate children than constant testing, destructive “turnarounds,” and charter conversions.

Come to a screening of August to June, a film about a public school that manages to keep its focus on children

— not billionaires who are sure they know best,

— not bureaucrats who want to please the billionaires.

The star of the film, teacher Amy Valens, will be at the screening. She will offer a peek at a new film project she and her husband are producing about Boston’s Mission Hill School.

When: Nov. 27, 6 pm.

Where: Community Church of Boston, 565 Boylston Street (near the Copley T stop).
